Girls come in to Prom Central all the time and tell me that they got a particular price on a prom dress as if they were dealing with the manufacturer. The truth is most manufacturers do not sell directly to the public.

What they are getting is a price from either a retail operation (store) somewhere in the country that carries the manufacturer or just an online store that has no brick and mortar storefront and therefore will most likely not service you as a customer. There will be no help with measuring, no seamstress to assure a perfect fit, no one to steam the dress, no advice from a professional as to an appropriate style for the prom shopper, etc.

Prom season is in full swing at Prom Central! Most Prom Companies are winding down for the season because most of the country has their proms much earlier than we do here in New England. This can be a problem when girls are not used to shopping early for their prom, and they’re looking for all those beautiful gowns in the fashion magazines and online.

But don’t give up! There are some companies that have been continuing to produce more dresses. Dave & Johnny, and La Femme are two of them. Prom Central will be having new dresses coming in for the May shoppers.
