So many women downplay their role in their child’s wedding, often looking for a dress that will make them fade into the background.  The truth is you are the #2 lady of the day.  You are really the hostess for this event and as such should be dressed appropriately.  This does not mean you should relinquish your sense of style.  It does mean that there are many dresses that will satisfy the formality (or informality) of this event that will make you feel like the special person that you are.

You’ve looked out for everyone in this whirlwind of planning for your son or daughter’s wedding except for one very special person – you!  Moms should be looking for their dresses along with the bridesmaids to allow time for ordering and alterations.  Four to six months is comfortable.
